Studio & Gear

The studio is located at Vallila district in Helsinki. There are three rooms: the control room, the rehearsal room, and the hallway. The control room is the main workspace for mixing albums or creating sound design for radio and film. The rehearsal room can be used for recording loud instruments or as a vocal booth (or whatever). The hallway is great for reamping, isolating instruments and so on. The studio was designed and built by Ville-Matti.

Gear for location sound

Heavy soundcart build for production sound (with SD 888) and lighter audio bag (with SD 833) for documentaries etc.

The sound cart is built on a frame manufactured by Soundcart. It allows recording of up to 16 input channels and enables high-quality mixing on location. The cart is suitable for film, podcast, and music productions, and can be easily customized for each project. The sound bag is slightly lighter and particularly well-suited for documentary filmmaking. Nevertheless, it remains a highly versatile setup.

Gear in studio

Control room built for audio post-production, featuring a 5.1 monitoring system. Recordings can be made in multichannel format to Pro Tools, 1-inch reel-to-reel tape, or cassette, depending on the desired aesthetic.

For film, radio, and podcast work, the studio has a massive sound library that includes purchased recordings from A Sound Effect, thousands of self-recorded files, and effects generated with Sound Particles. There is also the possibility to perform light foley work.
